70’s Retro Rewind
Last November, we had a blast organising a corporate party themed 70’s Retro Rewind. The guests were by far the most sporting, fanatical party people we’ve ever met and it is always a pleasure to know that everyone had a great time.
Apart from resurrecting ‘Michael Jackson’ for an impactful opening gambit, ‘Elvis Presley’ serenaded the crowd with some of his greatest hits with the likes of Heartbreak Hotel, Suspicious Minds, A Little Less Conversation and then so much more.
I just managed to view the photos taken by Exes – Studio and here’s a short peek into the event.

‘Santana’ and ‘Johnny Cash’ rocked the show during the battle of the bands while ‘Austin Chase’, ‘ABBA’, ‘Elton John’, the gypsies and so many more ‘celebrities’ graced the event with their colourful charisma and fanfare.

The 70’s truly is the best era of all time!!

Styleboard: Grace Kelly-inspired (2)
Hei hei .. thank you for stopping by. To kick start the year of the Tiger, I’ve decided to put together two styleboards drawing on inspirations from the iconic Grace Kelly and Salvatore Ferragamo’s latest spring/summer 2010 ad campaign. Earlier on, we shared a slightly modernised interpretation of Grace Kelly style and now, for the 2nd moodboard, here’s something more classic. Let me know what you think.

Some key pieces on this styleboard:
- Alberta Ferretti tweed jacket from Net-a-Porter
- Tiered silk dress from Net-a-Porter
- Chrysoprase Drop Earrings from Barneys (be prepared to be blown away by the price)
- Twitter pated plant holder from Mod Cloth
- Louis XVI Chair from The Paris Apartment
- Napkin Rings from Z Gallerie
- Vintage straw hat from My Sugarland
- Martinez Valero Orli heels from Piperlime
Enhance your wedding with:
- Beautiful floral designs by Wishing Tree
- A white vintage jaguar by Classic & Vintage (+6016 296 5588)

Wedding Book 2010
Wedding has become increasingly personalized where many aspects of a wedding are custom designed or made-to-order for a distinctive air of luxury, intimacy as well as with a tad of stylish elegance. The 4th edition of The Wedding Book is better than ever with a compact handy book that provides inspiration and guidance you need to plan your wedding, catering to sophisticated brides and grooms to be who would want to distinguish from the vital ‘need to know’ to the ‘nice to know’.

We’re proud to have been given the opportunity to conceptualise a theme for the wedding themes and inspiration pages. Working together with award-winning floral designer, YS Cheng of Creativelines, we’ve came up with two eco-friendly themes that are also ‘friendly’ on the budget: -
Chic Bohemian for an outdoor garden ceremony, drawing on the personalities of a free-spirited Bohemian bride with an effortless beauty that is both ethereal and whimsical.
For the dinner reception, we glammed up the set with a Vintage Boho theme which is slightly more sophisticated yet down-to-earth.

Fashion: 2010 Wedding Shoe Trend
Brides are always finding unique ways of expressing their styles through the cut, colour and fabric of their wedding gowns, their bridal bouquets and the styling of their hair and makeup, but I find it such an irony that often times, the wedding shoes are the most neglected ‘department’ of priority when it comes to bridal styling.
I asked my brides what shoes they will be buying for their wedding day and simplicity is the key word to summarize the general preference. Seems like Malaysians in general are not a big fan of coloured shoes, and would still prefer white, ivory and cream colours. Do you agree?
My co-ordinator, Sue has a big obsession with shoes and here’s our take on what’s hot for 2010. Scroll over the pictures for caption.
The Classics from the style Gurus

Rhinestones and crystals add instant bling to your pretty pedicured toes if you are going with strapped heels or peep-toe shoes.

If bling is too much, take a guide from Carrie Bradshaw.

Gold or silver metallic straps can add glam without going overboard. I could kill for shoes like these….

2010 is the turn of a decade, why not take a risk and express your individuality with a pair of coloured shoes.
