Zombie Zapping

It’s Friday and I’m sooo looking forward to the weekend. Believe it or not, I have not sleep in the last 25 hours. That’s just the story of my life. I’m the sort who can go on for two days straight without sleep, run about town,  get errands done, prepare proposals, work on my storyboard and then sleep at 9pm till the following midday, and go on again for the next 24 – 48 hours.

So, even while I was brain dead at 3a.m. this morning, I decided to toy about with Sonific songspot and added some pretty neat songs to entertain you. Then I went into Facebook and tried to figure out why Zing was so into that Zombie application and what’s all the fuss about building a huge community of e-Zombie armies when I’m already a Zombie myself. I still don’t get it Zing. You can just let me bite you and you can turn into a real Zombie.

I got an unexpected call from an old friend who is currently based in Shanghai. She was surprised to hear that I am now a wedding planner, since I started off my career as an auditor. First thing she asked was, “so what do you do as a planner?” Well, for starters, all that drilling in one of the big 4 accounting firms definitely paid off. Can see where I get all the midnight oil to burn. Except, I don’t think I ever pulled an all-nighter crunching numbers on my calculator. Last week, I decided to do house chores at 2:42a.m. when I was stuck for inspiration. After living with me for 3 years, my housemate still doesn’t get it :)  Beats me why she was still awake at 2:42a.m. wondering the same thing about me.

Keeping busy with chores allows me to think, and I’ll sometimes just get that ‘aha’ feeling, you know… when out of no where, a new idea pops up.  When I start on something, I simply got to get it done at the heat of the moment.

So, for a peek into my zombie life, here are the highlights of my week.

    A week in my life

    • A birthday party for a certain ‘Princess’.
    • Checking out the venue for an up-coming wedding.
    • Yes, that’s the dashboard, but I was trying to capture the cars in front of me. This is a very important highlight because in KL, regardless of how I try to time myself to head downtown at non-peak hours of the day, I will still end up being stuck in traffic jams! Ironically, I spend more time being stuck in traffic than the average duration of my meetings! *sidenote: one of the many benefits of hiring a wedding planner so that you can let us do the ’swearing’ in the car while you do something better like getting your manicure done, do some shopping or getting a blow job. Your hair I mean.*
    • Blogging has become significantly significant in my ’social life’.
    • Getting new plants for the office.
    • Reviewing a proposal, updating one budget sheet and preparing two new ones.
    • Getting a real social life catching up with my girlfriends at Sky Bar.
    • Discussing business plans over two cups of teh tarik, two cups of teh o ais limau and one cup of milo kosong panas; and watching Remy’s friends from Ratatouille play around the compounds of the empty mamak. Seriously, rats come out to play at like.. 4:30 in the morning. Like tonnes of them!
    • Budget – hunting for props (sorry, no pic for this).

I’m really looking forward to a quiet weekend, catch a movie, go for a walk by the beach and do some light shopping. Hope you’ll all have a good weekend too.
